April is here, and so are the beautiful colors of springtime in Oregon. I love taking a walk around the neighborhood and seeing life begin again. This past week we had visitors that I hadn't seen since last year, and it was so much fun to see them roaming around our property. Peacocks are truly magnificent. The turkeys are out again too, but unfortunately I was unable to get my phone in time before they moved on around the corner.
Maybe next month!

Nice weather means weekend drives. We drove out to a rural town in the Portland area called North Plains. It has a mixture of the past and present, and it's a little like stepping into a time machine. We loved it! Here are a few of the older buildings still standing. I had to restrain myself from running up and going inside. LOL

The gorgeous cherry clossom trees are one of Oregon's proud beauties. Here are a few of those magnificent trees with the majestic sky I captured on the way home.

Switching to my author side, last month I had a few signings, and several people commented on the Alex McKenna book covers. Thank you to my publisher, Creative James Media, and their cover designer, Dark Angel Graphics, for creating the perfect cover for each title. It sparked me to submit the cover for Alex McKenna Death Is Not The Beginning for entry in AllAuthor's Best Cover of the Month contest. They chose it to compete!

If you have a second, please vote. Dark Angel Graphic Design , aka Tori Kaer, and I will greatly appreciate it.

You actually have peacocks wandering your neighborhood??
